Commissions

Reasons for commissioning an original picture are many and varied. It can be as simple as admiring a particular artists work or more deep, as in a piece that evokes an emotional connection to a place, an event or object.

The buyer should be comfortable with the artist's painting style and confident that the finished piece will suit their taste and planned display location. Whether the picture is for yourself or as a gift to celebrate a special occasion, your commissioned art should give pleasure and satisfaction.

Budget, always a big consideration, could influence the selection of an artist, the quality and size of the work, and decisions regarding framing. Larger oil and acrylic paintings may use canvas on extra-wide stretchers, known as 'gallery style', with the edges painted, and hung unframed for a more modern look.

I love to paint and will render any subject (excluding portraits and pets) in sizes up to 72" by 60" (182cm x152cm).
